The Rich Cut - If it is said that the Czech Republic ranks among the most important glass manufacturers, then considerable credit goes to hand-cut lead crystal. The typical Czech decorative patterns include rich, so-called "lace" decorations which typically represent the Czech cutting school. A multifaceted maze of hundreds and thousands of web-like, tiny cuts, decorating products of various shapes with a perfect pattern, is born under grinding wheels in the hands of its master crafters. A classical representative of the rich decorations is Cut 57001 known also as the design 500PK, a gem of the Czech cutting school, called "the 500" by glass experts. Crystal products decorated with rich Bohemian cut are examples of the skill of manual work which no machine can replace.
