RUG is a multipurpose product. People use rug for home decor and living etc. Rug is hand woven using centuries old weaving technique.
We established since 1983, Our carpet and rugs are famous for their quality. The base materials which we use for crafting the carpets are cotton, wool, jute and silk. All our items are handmade by my members of my workshop. Most type of rugs are woven by women.

A rug on his manufacturing period goes around 25 hand from dying to finishing and all process like dying, plying, spinning, warping, weaving, washing, finishing and packaging is proceed at one place.
my father is the founder of LAXMI EXPORTS. I help him out while studying side by side. My entire family supports my father in making this workshop work.

All our rugs are made by hand with love.
Dhurries are ancient flat weave rug with origins in INDIA. They have strong and tightly woven Rustic weaves, no pile or backing making them reversible. The hand's burn yarn used to make the rugs is hand dyed with natural pigment, Producing long lasting and vibrant color.The ancient craft of Dhurrie weaving on wooden handloom is time consuming yet effective in bringing a texture's strength to the yarn. The artisans use Panjas, A wooden tool with iron fingers like extension of their own hands, Tapping each color thread into place to create a beautiful durable textile. Dhurrie weaving has traditionally been a village industry in INDIA and is consider a major life source to many villagers, Providing income, occupation and creativity. This art requires a lot of patience as it is very time consuming. This is often a husband and a wife partnership. After the yarns have been dyed and prepared the artisan begins by tying both ends of the yarn to the wooden bales, The bamboo bales are then placed and handles are pulleduring the process next the threads are pulled according to the desired pattern and design. Dhurries are a perfect way to combine the beauty of historic artistry with contemporary techo.

RUG MAKING PROCESS :

1) Warp is the base for making a rug. It provide base for weaving. We make it wrap on pipe. Thread is rolled on a pipe. It has around 20 thread per inch (for wool and jute rugs 18 thread per inch and for cotton 20 thread per inch)

2)After making warp we have to set the wrap pipe on loom & set up the wrap on loom.

3) After setting up warp there will be two layer of warp, one layer of thread on front side & another at back.

4)Now we pass weft thread between two layers of warp.
To make design in rug, we put the weft according to design. than we beat the line of weft with a Panja, a tool like comb made of wood & iron, to make rug tight.

5) When a rug is done we cut it from the loom.
